Dana Rueckert

Current Practice and Background

Ms. Rueckert joined the Seeley Family Law Practice in August 2016. Ms. Rueckert has dedicated her legal career to the understanding of the foundations and impact of Family Law in California. Ms. Rueckert prides herself in her analytical aptitude, personal character, and empathetic attitude to each and every case she handles.


Prior to joining Seeley Family Law Practice, Ms. Rueckert practiced family law exclusively in the San Francisco Bay Area across Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. At her most recent firm, Ms. Rueckert was the primary litigator on Domestic Violence Restraining Order (DVRO) and contempt trial work.

Ms. Rueckert began her legal career with the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) in Santa Clara County. She worked extensively with the Establishment Unit in paternity matters, the Enforcement Unit for modification of child support Orders, and the Contempt Unit in pursuit of non-paying obligors. Ms. Rueckert also assisted Pro Se litigants in the CASA-99 clinic.


Ms. Rueckert attended the USC Gould School of Law in Los Angeles. Ms. Rueckert graduated with a Certificate in Entertainment Law during that program’s inaugural year. While attending USC, Ms. Rueckert was an active board member in USC OUTLaw and the musical director of USC LawCapella.

Dana Marie attended UC San Diego for her undergraduate degree, concentrating in American Politics and Theatre Arts. During college, Ms. Rueckert was an award-winning member of the UC San Diego Mock Trial team and served on the board of that organization.
