Jordana Better

Attorney Of Counsel

Jordana Better

Current Practice and Background

Jordana Better is an experienced family law attorney whose practice focuses on dissolution, support issues, high-value asset separations, and child custody disputes. With a goal-oriented approach, she focuses on seeking settlement when possible while preparing the best and strongest case for trial in case it becomes necessary.  She has extensive expertise in the Bay Area but has practiced throughout California.

Jordana graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a double major in Communications and Political Science. After college she worked as a Marketing Director in the Bay Area until she decided to follow her passion for the law at Syracuse University College of the Law.  While at Syracuse, she clerked for the Hon. Ralph C. Hofer, in the Los Angeles County Family Law Courts, was a founding member of the SUCOL Divorce Clinic, was a student attorney for Utica Corporate Counsels Office, and clerked for one of the top divorce firms in the Bay Area.

Jordana began her legal career in family law for several years before moving to civil litigation, where she developed strong negotiation, settlement, and trial preparation skills. Jordana returned to family law with the experience she had gained after starting her own family. Jordana is married and a mother, so she understands the emotions and difficulties that come along with the issues involved in family law.  She has an honest, upfront, realistic approach to family law litigation which helps clients focus on their ultimate goals and how best to achieve them. She is a fierce advocate, calm but firm, who hopes for a settlement but prepares for litigation.
